After the AGM, we will break for the summer, so no meetings will take place in July or August.
In the Fall, we will begin by holding meetings over Zoom, while we assess the possibility of holding in person meetings. The first meeting will take place September 13th.
Library Update: Until we are able to meet regularly in person, the library will not be available to members. We are exploring potential online sources that members can refer to in the meantime.
Meetings: General Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month. Each meeting begins with a Business Meeting from 6:30 - 7:30 pm followed by programming, a guest speaker, networking or social event. An agenda and introduction to the speaker or event will be emailed at least 7 days prior to the meeting via the Guild Forum. Meetings are either held in-person at the Hintonburg Community centre or virtually via Zoom. If Zoom, coordinates are sent out to members on the meeting day, before noon. Planned programming for each month is announced at the previous month’s meeting, and is open to all. Please follow the guild on Facebook to receive notifications.
- Business Meeting The purpose of the Business Meeting is to provide updates on activities within Guild committees, announcements and the opportunity to discuss issues of concern to the membership. This meeting is chaired by the President. If you wish to have an item on the agenda send it to the President at least 10 days prior to the meeting at president@ottawaguildofpotters.ca
- Programming Guest speakers provide mini-workshop opportunities presenting techniques and topics of interest. If you have an idea for a program, please contact our Program Chair, Amy Bell at amybellpots@gmail.com. Programming events are open to members and non-members alike - please follow us on Facebook and Instagram for details. Join us for a meeting if you are considering becoming a member.
- Networking is an important component of every meeting where we get to know each other and hear about learning opportunities.
When we can get back to regular in-person meetings, they will be held at:
Time: 6:30 - 9:00 pm (library is open from 6:30 - 7:15 pm)
Where: Hintonburg Community Centre, Laroche Room, 1064 Wellington St, Ottawa K1Y 2Y3
