Artist Statement
For me, creating is a releasing mechanism from the tension and emotion of my everyday life.
I engage with clay through my hands, molding it into my deepest thoughts and feelings, and in the end, my work is born through the clay's consciousness.
I came from a country where authorities forbid the artistic rendering of the uncovered (particularly female) human body. Injustice is rampant and you are punished for thinking, dreaming, choosing.
This explains my work. Each line of my pots has a meaning; each line represents unbound reflection enabling the hard choices and big changes in our lives, that make us who we are today.

Artist Statement
I work primarily in mid fire stoneware, making both functional pottery and unique wall pieces. At the present time I am working with underglazes applied in a painterly abstract manner. Many of my works are translations from my travel sketchbooks; being inspired by local and travel landscapes such as scenes from Provence and Tuscany. I love the way clay responds to the influencing actions of each movement. It allows for a variety of expressions and forms.

Artist Statement
Making work in clay offers endless possibilities in terms of form and surface treatment. I am interested in the process of making, drawn to the tactile nature of the material. I employ a multitude of techniques in forming my pieces, some are thrown other are made from slabs of clay. I want to emphasis the process therefore in some work I leave the lines where the clay was joined I use a variety of decorating techniques: monoprinting, sgraffito and stamping.
I believe in the beauty of handmade objects. They have a unique history and can evoke a moment a connection. My intention and hope is to create those moments and to connect the maker to the user.
